Dark Light

Howdy. I’m an Austin-based marketer, politico, and arts enthusiast.

I was born and raised in a small, dusty town in Far West Texas to a butcher and a librarian. I’m a sucker for enchiladas montadas and a spicy mezcal Paloma.

A bit of what I’ve done: I am the founder and principal consultant of the Department of Influence, created Longhorn Humor & Latino Humor, and currently work at Razorfish as a social & content lead with a focus on diversity and inclusion. I currently serve on the SXSW Interactive Advisory Board and the board of directors of the Texas Dance Hall Preservation.

I’ve been featured on C-SPAN, Al Jazeera, Washington Life, Minority Business Entrepreneur, PR Newswire, Latino Leaders, and a few more places.

Speaking engagements include The New York Times, SXSW, George Washington University, Voto Latino Power Summit, and The University of Texas at Austin.

Clients I’ve worked with include Dr Pepper, AB InBev, Diageo, Voto Latino, Rock the Vote, Chevrolet, Mars Inc., Jack Daniel’s, PepsiCo, Lowe’s, Kimberly Clark, Jamba Juice, Heinz Ketchup, Texas Lottery, Domino’s, Indio Beer, Tecate, McDonald’s, Visionworks, Sprint, Valvoline, Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Hilton, USAA, Patrón, T-Mobile, Cadillac, and Stellantis (Ram Trucks, Jeep).
